The Last Angry Brown Hat
by
Alfredo Ramos
Coming in September
Founded in Los Angeles in the late 1960s, the Brown Berets were an influential community-based social justice
organization which played a leading role in the Chicano Civil Rights Movement of the '60s and '70s, with history in Silver City.
Willie, JoJo, Louie, and Rude Boy all previously part of the movement, return to their hometown 25 years later for the funeral of a friend, and past member of The Brown Berets. Willie initiates a night of memories and conversations of the “old days”. As the night progresses, the different paths their lives have taken become obvious. It is a night that will reveal the realities of the present and speculation on a future that is yet to come. Will these personal revelations break them apart or only strengthen their bond further?

Woody Guthrie's
American Song
Woody Guthrie's American Song is an ensemble musical based on Guthrie's songs and writings. One of the most significant figures in American Folk Music, Guthrie's songs focus on themes of American Socialism and Anti-Fascism, inspiring several generations both politically and musically. We opened February 28 and sold out 6 consecutive shows. Thank you to all who attended. Our apologies to those who could not make it.
